The Maccabean Revolt in 167 BCE was an inspiring uprising led by the brave Judas Maccabeus and his brothers against a powerful empire that tried to erase Jewish faith and traditions.
A small group of determined fighters won their freedom and rededicated the Temple in Jerusalem the very miracle we still celebrate during Hanukkah today.
